New Glarus does not have a Fourth of July celebration of its own this year, which means residents looking for fireworks will need to look beyond the village for nearby Independence Day events.

Several communities across southern Wisconsin have fireworks, festivals or holiday events scheduled between late June and mid-July, including celebrations in Monroe, Monticello, Brodhead, Verona, Madison, Stoughton, Janesville and other area communities.
