MONROE, Wis. — Expectant parents and families with babies are invited to a free Community Baby Shower from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 22, at the Green County Family YMCA, 1307 Second St. in Monroe.

The event will offer refreshments, activities, prizes and opportunities for families to connect with local community resources. Free childcare and lactation spaces will also be available.

Expectant and new parents may enter a free raffle for baby gear, including a wagon stroller, car seat, high chair, cases of diapers and other items.

Short walk-in classes and activities will be offered throughout the event. A breastfeeding session begins at 11:30 a.m., followed by a car seat safety session at noon and bingo at 12:30 p.m.
