A 4-on-4 coed grass volleyball tournament is set for Saturday, July 18, at Glarner Park, bringing players to New Glarus during the same weekend as the Blues, Brews & Food Trucks Festival downtown and offering two competitive divisions.

Glarner Coed Grass Fours Coming to New Glarus

Glarner Park will add another competition to a busy New Glarus weekend when the Glarner Coed Grass Fours Volleyball Tournament begins at 9 a.m. Saturday, July 18.

The 4-on-4 coed grass volleyball tournament is scheduled for the same weekend as the Blues, Brews & Food Trucks Festival, giving players and spectators another reason to spend part of the weekend in New Glarus.

Organized by Dustin Laufenberg and Joe Fillner, the tournament will feature smaller courts that are similar to doubles dimensions, though not exact. The event listing describes the format as a high game-count tournament that rewards endurance, consistency and smart shot placement.
