Google Street View has refreshed significant parts of New Glarus with new imagery, bringing much of downtown and several major community landmarks into the present nearly 15 years since Google last captured parts of the community.

Much of New Glarus was last photographed in July 2011. A partial update arrived in 2025, but it covered only selected streets and major routes, leaving much of the village represented by imagery from another era.

The latest update is especially noticeable in the heart of the downtown, where visitors using Google Maps can now see a far more current version of New Glarus. Businesses including Canter Inn, Ohana Kitchen, Rusty Raven, Sportsman's Reloaded, Pioneer Valley Country Store and A Well Worn Story – among others – now appear in Street View, each appearing in Street View for the first time. The new New Glarus Public Library is now visible as well.

Kleeman's Bar & Grill offers one of the clearest examples of how dated the old imagery had become. Its previous downtown Street View image showed the property under construction after the business's 2011 fire. The new imagery finally shows the building years after that reconstruction was completed.
