Green County Expands Well Water Testing

Many homes in New Glarus and across rural Green County rely on private wells for drinking water, and local public health officials are urging residents to test their water regularly to ensure it is safe.

The Green County Public Health Department recommends private well owners test their water at least once a year, in line with guidance from the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources. State well construction code also requires new wells to be tested before they are put into use.
