The Green County Historical Society will host a June 20 event in Monroe featuring archaeology, flint knapping, Black Hawk War history and artifacts from private collections.

MONROE, Wis., — The Green County Historical Society will host “Green County: Its First History” from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, June 20, at the Green County Historical Society Museum, 1617 9th St. in Monroe.

The event will focus on the earliest history of Green County before white settlement in the 1830s. Visitors will be able to view archaeological and historical artifacts from private collectors, along with presentations and demonstrations throughout the day.

A $2 donation is suggested.
