Students and teachers at New Glarus Elementary School are getting a little extra help as they head back to class, courtesy of law enforcement leaders from across Green County.

The Green County Law Enforcement Administrators Association (GCLEAA) recently went back-to-school shopping, purchasing school supplies for every school district in Green County. In New Glarus, Police Chief Jeff Sturdevant delivered the local share of those supplies to New Glarus Elementary School.

GCLEAA is an organization made up of police chiefs, the Green County sheriff and other law enforcement administrators from around the county. While much of its work involves coordination among local agencies, the organization also has a long history of community outreach, particularly programs involving children.
