Green County Workshop Focuses on Business Succession

MONROE, Wis. — Green County Development Corporation will host a free Lunch & Learn workshop Nov. 5 aimed at helping business owners strengthen the value of their companies and prepare for future transitions. The event will run from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Bank of New Glarus meeting room, 701 8th St., Monroe, with lunch provided.

The workshop, “Own Your Future: From Successful to Significant,” is designed for owners who may still be growing their businesses as well as those beginning to think about succession, a sale or another transition.

Nikki Austin, a certified financial planner and certified exit planning adviser with Thrivent, will lead the session. Topics will include aligning business, personal and financial goals, strengthening and accelerating business value, and exploring transition options that fit an owner’s goals and vision.

Green County Development Corporation Executive Director Olivia Otte said planning for the next chapter of locally owned businesses matters beyond the individual owner because those companies are part of the region’s economic base.
