A New Glarus native and longtime Wisconsin clothier, Gregory Wenger built a life centered on family, friendship, community and golf before finding his retirement dream among the courses of Fairfield Glade, Tennessee. He died at 79.

Gregory Stuart Wenger, age 79, of Fairfield Glade, Tennessee passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 18, 2026. He was born in Monroe, Wisconsin, the son of Walter R. Wenger and Ruth E. (Ziltner) Wenger. He was a devoted husband of almost 59 years to his beloved wife, Jane Chase Wenger, and a proud father to his two sons, Bryan and Brent Wenger, and a cherished grandfather to Miles, Cole, Weston, Adella, Gideon and Carson who brought him immense joy.
