After nearly two decades in its current Highway 69 store, Hometown Pharmacy is preparing a smaller New Glarus location built around pharmacy care and wellness, with new details now explaining what customers will find when the doors open.

Hometown Pharmacy Details Changes Ahead of Oct. 1 Move
Hometown Pharmacy is preparing to move from its longtime Highway 69 location to a smaller storefront at 1305 Highway 69, where it will reopen Oct. 1 with a greater emphasis on pharmacy care, health and wellness.

Hometown Pharmacy will close its current New Glarus store Sept. 30 for moving day and reopen Oct. 1 at 1305 Highway 69, with the company now providing a clearer picture of how the much smaller location will change its retail business and expand its focus on health and wellness.

The pharmacy is moving from approximately 5,500 square feet at 1101 Highway 69 into the 1,600-square-foot former Quality Cellular suite. Hometown Pharmacy says the smaller space will allow it to be more intentional about what it carries, devoting less room to general merchandise and more to pharmacy-related products, health and wellness.

One convenience will change with the move. The new location will not have a traditional drive-up pharmacy window. Customers who need that service will be able to call the pharmacy after arriving and have their prescription brought to their vehicle. Prescription delivery will also continue.
