Knights Fall to No. 6 Darlington on Road
New Glarus battled back to within four late in the first half, but a barrage of 3-pointers from Division 4 No. 6 Darlington and a dominant second-half run proved too much for the Glarner Knights on the road.
DARLINGTON, Wis. — The New Glarus Glarner Knights traveled to Darlington High School on Monday Feb. 23 hoping to rebound from a tough conference loss, but No. 6-ranked Division 4 Darlington proved why it is among the state’s best in a 93-67 nonconference win.
Both teams entered the night with something to prove. Darlington, 19-3 overall and 12-1 in the Southwest Activities League (SWAL) Conference, was coming off a conference loss of its own. New Glarus, now 14-9 overall and 7-2 in the Capitol South Conference, had fallen 68-66 to Marshall on Friday, ending its hopes of winning the conference outright.
