MARSHALL, Wis. — The New Glarus Glarner Knights ran into an experienced Marshall team Tuesday night, falling 25-15, 25-16, 25-11 in a three-set road loss.
Marshall, a conference co-champion in 2025, leaned on a lineup led by eight seniors to disrupt New Glarus from the opening set.
The Cardinals generated offense from across the front row while also attacking effectively from the back row. That balance kept the Knights’ defense under pressure throughout the match.
New Glarus struggled to establish a consistent rhythm against Marshall’s blocks and determined defense. Each time the Knights tried to build momentum, the Cardinals found a way to regain control.
