Just down Highway 69 from New Glarus, Monticello Homecoming returns July 10-12 with fireworks, a parade, live music, tournaments, carnival rides, water fights and dozens of activities around Lake Montesian.
MONTICELLO, Wis. — Monticello Homecoming returns July 10-12 with a full weekend of music, food, tournaments, fireworks and family activities in the neighboring Green County community.
The annual celebration, held just down Highway 69 from New Glarus, includes carnival rides, beer tents, food stands, live music and community events around Lake Montesian and downtown Monticello.
Highlights include Friday night music from Decades, a busy Saturday schedule featuring water fights, canoe races, duck races, tug-of-war, tournaments and fireworks over Lake Montesian at 9:45 p.m.
Sunday’s schedule includes church services, a chicken barbecue, the carnival, the Homecoming Parade on Main Street at 2 p.m., live music and the Community Club raffle drawing.
