New Glarus Area EMS to Host Blood Drive
Residents can support the American Red Cross during the New Glarus Area EMS Blood Drive on July 11, with donors also eligible for a classic American Red Cross and Looney Tunes T-shirt while supplies last during the promotional period.
The New Glarus Area Emergency Medical Services will host a community blood drive Saturday, July 11, at its building at 401 3rd St. in New Glarus.
The blood drive is scheduled for 8 a.m. to noon and is being held in partnership with the American Red Cross. The event gives New Glarus-area residents a local opportunity to donate blood during the summer months, when donations are often needed as families travel, schedules change and regular giving routines can be disrupted.
According to organizers, those who give blood between June 29 and July 12 may receive a classic American Red Cross and Looney Tunes T-shirt, while supplies last.
The drive is sponsored by New Glarus Area EMS, which serves the local community and surrounding area. Blood donations collected through Red Cross drives are used to help patients facing surgeries, trauma, cancer treatment, chronic illnesses and other medical needs.
