New Glarus Cares Plans Pickleball Fundraisers
Bingo and Culver’s share night events will help New Glarus Cares raise money for new pickleball courts as the group works toward selecting a site soon.
New Glarus Cares is continuing its push to raise money for new pickleball courts in New Glarus, with two fundraising events scheduled in June.
The first event is a pickleball-themed bingo benefit set for Sunday June 10th at 6:00 p.m. at Bailey’s Run Vineyard & Winery. The event will include bingo, a pickleball raffle and pickleball pizza, with proceeds benefiting New Glarus Cares.
New Glarus Cares President Shelly Johnson said the organization has been encouraged by the community’s response as interest in pickleball continues to grow.
“Pickleball has brought people of all ages together, and we see this as a project that can add something positive and lasting to New Glarus,” Johnson said. “Every fundraiser gets us a little closer.”
