New Glarus Farmers Market Canceled Due to Rain
The July 31 New Glarus Farmers Market has been canceled because of widespread rain, but several vendors have already harvested fresh produce and are inviting customers to contact them directly to arrange purchases throughout the day.
The New Glarus Farmers Market scheduled for Friday, July 31, has been canceled because of widespread rain expected to move through the area.
Market organizers announced the cancellation Friday morning but said several produce vendors had already harvested items for the market. Customers may contact the vendors directly to arrange purchases.
David Farrell of Acres Aweigh is offering heirloom tomatoes, string beans, carrots, potatoes, onions, beets, kohlrabi, basil, garden huckleberries, purple artichokes, herbal teas, culinary herbs, sunflowers, kale, rainbow chard and zucchino rampicante.
