New Glarus Festival Moves Downtown This Summer
Blues, Brews & Food Trucks Festival will shift from Village Park to 1st Street this year, bringing live music, food trucks, a large tent and downtown street closures.
The New Glarus Blues, Brews & Food Trucks Festival will have a new look this summer after the Village of New Glarus approved plans to move the event downtown.
The festival, which had previously been held in Village Park, is scheduled for Saturday, July 18, with activities centered on 1st Street between Fifth and Sixth avenues. The special event permit application was approved by the Village Board on May 6.
The move marks a notable change for one of the summer’s New Glarus events. Instead of being based in the Village Park in the open, this year’s festival will be located downtown and held inside a tent. The application to the village for the event plans for a closure of 1st Street between Fifth and Sixth avenues and Fifth Avenue between Third Street and Railroad Street.
