Fourteen New Glarus Jodlerklub members, joined by friends and family, have gathered in Basel during a severe Swiss heat wave ahead of their Friday night performance at the international Jodlerfest.
The New Glarus Jodlerklub has gathered in Basel, Switzerland, ahead of this weekend’s Eidgenössisches Jodlerfest, one of the world’s largest celebrations of Swiss yodeling and folk traditions.
Fourteen members of the group, along with friends and family, are now in the city for the festival, according to Bobbie Bernet, who is traveling with the New Glarus delegation.
Switzerland is experiencing an unusually severe heat wave, adding another challenge for travelers preparing for the weekend’s performances.
