New Glarus Lions Golf Outing Returns Oct. 4
The New Glarus Lions Charity Golf Outing returns Oct. 4 at Edelweiss Chalet Country Club, offering a scramble, dinner, raffles and a $15,000 hole-in-one prize while raising money for scholarships and other local community causes and needs.
The New Glarus Lions Club will hold its annual Charity Golf Outing on Sunday, Oct. 4, at Edelweiss Chalet Country Club, W4764 Edelweiss Road. The event is open to the public, not only Lions Club members.
Held in memory of Ron Martinson and Ron “Bucky” Buccholz, the outing will begin with a noon shotgun start and use a standard scramble format. Dinner is scheduled for 5 p.m., followed by awards, silent raffles and a 50/50 raffle.
Registration costs $100 per golfer and includes 18 holes, a half-cart and dinner. Edelweiss Chalet Country Club members will receive credit for the green fee. Those who do not golf may attend the after-golf dinner for $35.
Prize money will be awarded to teams finishing in selected places, including first, fifth and 10th, depending on the number of golfers participating.
