New Glarus Lions Help Clean Highway 39

The New Glarus Lions Organization spent part of Saturday, April 11, cleaning a stretch of Highway 39 as part of Wisconsin’s Adopt a Highway Program, collecting nine bags of garbage along the roadside. The cleanup covered the area from Poplar Grove Road to the New Glarus Township Garage.

The effort improved the appearance of one of the area’s well-traveled routes while also serving as another example of the Lions’ ongoing role in community service and volunteer work in New Glarus.
