New Glarus Public Works to Make One More Weekly Brush Pickup
One final weekly brush collection will take place the week of June 29 before the Village of New Glarus returns to its regular first full week of the month pickup schedule on July 6, ending the temporary storm cleanup effort for village residents.
Residents have one more opportunity to have storm-related brush collected next week before the Village of New Glarus Public Works Department returns to its regular monthly pickup schedule. Brush collection will take place during the week of June 29, with the normal first full week of the month schedule resuming beginning July 6.
The additional pickup marks the end of the village's temporary weekly collection program that was implemented following severe storms earlier this month. The expanded schedule was intended to help residents dispose of fallen branches and tree limbs as crews responded to widespread storm damage throughout the community.
Under the normal schedule, brush pickup takes place during the first full week of each month from April through October. Residents should place brush and tree limbs at the curb for collection.
