New Glarus Rec Players Invited to Free Pool Party
The New Glarus Youth Baseball and Softball Association will host a free end-of-season pool party July 29 for 282 recreational players, with swimming, prizes and ice cream planned at Village Park and the New Glarus Village Pool for families.
The New Glarus Youth Baseball and Softball Association will celebrate another recreational season with a free pool party for players Wednesday, July 29, at Village Park and the New Glarus Village Pool.
The event will bring together participants from New Glarus baseball and Monticello-New Glarus softball programs for swimming, prize drawings and ice cream. A rain date is scheduled for Thursday, July 30.
“This is a way to celebrate the successful season that all participants have finished,” organizer Keeley Welsh said. “A time to get together to swim and enjoy ice cream and be entered to win fantastic prizes.”
A total of 282 players participated in the programs this year, ranging from tee-ball through eighth grade, or the 14-and-under level.
