New Glarus Sets 2026 Halloween Trick-or-Treat Hours
With Halloween falling on a Saturday this year, New Glarus families will have a full day to prepare before trick-or-treating begins. Official trick-or-treat hours in the village are set for 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, this fall.
Halloween will come with a little extra breathing room for New Glarus families this year, with the holiday falling on a Saturday and official trick-or-treat hours set for 5 to 7 p.m. Oct. 31.
The weekend date means families will not have to squeeze costumes, dinner and trick-or-treating into the end of a school day. It also leaves more of the day available for Halloween parties, community activities and other events before children head into New Glarus neighborhoods that evening.
For residents handing out candy, the two-hour window provides a clear time to expect trick-or-treaters at the door. For families making the rounds, 5 p.m. will mark the official start of the evening.
Drivers should also expect increased pedestrian traffic throughout residential areas during the trick-or-treat period, with children and families moving between homes as daylight fades.
