New Glarus businesses and local connections were well represented in Madison Magazine’s 2026 Best of Madison awards, with several familiar names earning recognition across food, drink, health care and other categories.

New Glarus Shines in Best of Madison

New Glarus businesses made a strong showing in Madison Magazine’s 2026 Best of Madison awards announced Thursday, Sept. 17, collecting Gold and Silver honors in categories ranging from beer and pizza to wine and chiropractic care.

New Glarus Brewing Co. led the local results with two Gold awards. The brewery was named Best Brewery, while its flagship Spotted Cow earned Gold for Best Local Craft Beer.

It marks a repeat performance for New Glarus Brewing. The company also earned Gold in both categories in the 2025 Best of Madison awards.

Sugar River Pizza Co. also claimed Gold, winning the Best Pizza category.
