New Glarus’ Summer Flavor Fest Returns
Beer, Bacon & Cheese and Polkafest will bring food, beer, music and dancing to downtown New Glarus in June, with tickets already on sale for one of the village’s fastest-selling events.
New Glarus will get one of its signature summer weekends June 12-13, when Polkafest and Beer, Bacon & Cheese return downtown with music under the tent, tasting wristbands, local beer, cheese, specialty meats and the kind of crowd that reminds everyone why festival season matters here.
Polkafest is scheduled for Friday and Saturday, June 12-13, while Beer, Bacon & Cheese will run from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday, June 13, in downtown New Glarus. Together, the two events create a weekend built around the village’s familiar strengths: food, music, beer, Swiss-inflected hospitality and streets full of visitors.
