Patty Adamson Memorial Fundraiser Returns Sept. 3

A memorial fundraiser honoring the late Patty Adamson, Class of 1985, will return this fall, bringing the event to New Glarus while continuing Adamson’s longtime commitment to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Green County.

The fundraiser will begin at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 3, at Ohana Kitchen. The evening will feature live music by The Jimmys, 10 rounds of a meat raffle and a silent auction, with proceeds supporting activities for Big Brothers Big Sisters matches throughout Green County.

Adamson became involved with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Green County in 2001 when she joined its board of directors. She spent six years on the board, including three years as secretary, and went on to mentor two Littles over a 14-year period.

“Giving back to her community through mentoring youth was important to Patty, as she held a strong belief that all children need to have at least one caring adult in their lives,” organizer Amber Marty said.
