New Glarus Oktoberfest is shaping up to have comfortable early-fall weather when the four-day festival opens Thursday, Sept. 24, in downtown New Glarus, with no significant heat or cold showing up in the latest outlook.
Thursday is expected to be mostly sunny with a high near 66 degrees. Clouds increase Thursday night as temperatures fall to around 49, making for a cool evening for anyone spending time outside after sunset.
Friday should remain mild, with partly sunny skies and a high near 67. Friday night is forecast to be partly cloudy with a low around 48.
Saturday currently looks like the warmest and sunniest day of the festival. Mostly sunny skies are forecast with a high near 70, giving Oktoberfest visitors a mild afternoon for walking downtown, visiting vendors and spending time outside the festival tent.
