Shepherd of the Hills Plans Free Community Supper
Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church will host a free community supper Sept. 10 in New Glarus, with brats and sides, no sign-up required, and free-will donations helping cover food costs and support the Green County Humane Society.
Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church is inviting the New Glarus community to simply show up and share a meal Thursday, Sept. 10, as the church launches what it hopes could become a monthly community supper.
The free meal will be served from 5:30 to 7 p.m., or while supplies last, at Shepherd of the Hills, 506 12th Ave. in New Glarus. There is no cost and no advance registration or sign-up is required.
The menu will include brats, potato salad, beans and chips.
Silke Barrett of Shepherd of the Hills said the church hopes the September supper could be the beginning of a recurring event, potentially offering a similar community meal each month.
