Steve Stettler, a 1973 graduate of New Glarus High School, has earned a national spotlight in one of the cheese industry’s leading trade publications.
Stettler, longtime cheesemaker at Decatur Dairy in Brodhead, was featured in the April 24 edition of Cheese Market News as part of its “Makers and Mongers” series, which highlights notable figures in the cheese world. The story, titled “From boots to Master Cheesemaker, Steve Stettler builds a lasting Decatur Dairy legacy,” traces Stettler’s life in cheesemaking from childhood to his role as a Wisconsin Master Cheesemaker.
