Sugar River Mat Club Fundraiser Moves to Belleville Tomorrow
The Sugar River Mat Club has moved Saturday’s silent auction, bags tournament and gun raffle to The Hop Garden in Belleville, where the Aug. 15 fundraiser will run from 1 to 4 p.m. and support wrestling programs in Belleville, New Glarus and Monticello.
The Sugar River Mat Club has changed the location of its Saturday fundraiser because of the potential for inclement weather and a scheduling conflict.
The silent auction, bags tournament and gun raffle will now be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 15, at The Hop Garden in Belleville. The time of the event has not changed.
The fundraiser supports the Sugar River Mat Club and wrestling programs serving athletes from Belleville, New Glarus and Monticello. Proceeds help pay for equipment, uniforms, warm-ups, wrestling mats, camps, travel expenses and other needs for youth and high school wrestlers.
Admission to the event is free, although attendees are encouraged to register online. Entry in the two-person bags tournament costs $40 per team.
