Melanie Lorenz, a historian born and raised in Switzerland, will make a presentation on Thursday, May 7, about the history of Swiss migration to New Glarus and how it fit into broader 19th-century immigration patterns.

The presentation is scheduled for 6 p.m. in the Village Hall Community Room. The event is expected to appeal to residents interested in New Glarus history, Swiss heritage and the story of how Swiss immigrants came to the area.
