Swissland Miniature Golf Welcomes New Goats, Fresh Look for Summer
Thelma and Rupert, two goats from Abey Valley Barn near Brooklyn, have settled into Swissland Miniature Golf as the Highway 69 attraction welcomes visitors with new management, refreshed amenities, special events and renewed family appeal.
Two new four-legged residents have arrived at Swissland Miniature Golf in New Glarus, bringing plenty of personality to one of the village's favorite summertime attractions. Thelma and Rupert, two goats from Abey Valley Barn near Brooklyn, are settling into their new home as the course continues its first full season under new management.
Visitors can now meet the friendly pair at the miniature golf course at 700 State Highway 69, where they are housed in a spacious enclosure overlooking the mini golf course. Their arrival has already attracted attention online after a TikTok video showing their delivery to New Glarus quickly caught the eye of local residents and animal lovers alike.
Manager Erin Goins said finding replacement goats became an unexpected challenge after last year's supplier was no longer raising them
"I just honestly put a Facebook ad out, and somebody from outside of Albany wanted to lend me their goats, so I was just so happy," Goins said.
