From a farmers market and vineyard concerts to a trail run, state park gathering and live music around New Glarus, the weekend of Aug. 14-16 offers plenty of reasons to get outside, explore the area and enjoy late-summer activities.
The New Glarus area heads into another busy summer weekend with live music, fresh local food, outdoor recreation and opportunities to spend time at New Glarus Woods State Park.
This weekend includes the weekly New Glarus Farmers Market, six live music performances and the seventh annual New Glarus Woods Trail Run, along with a Friends of New Glarus Woods State Park gathering.
Visitors looking to make a full day or weekend of it also have plenty of familiar New Glarus attractions to choose from, including the New Glarus Brewing Co., downtown shops and restaurants, the Swiss Historical Village & Museum, Chalet of the Golden Fleece and miles of trails.
