Village Board Approves Capital Plan; EMS Issues Head to Closed Session
The New Glarus Village Board approved staffing appointments, long-term capital planning, policy updates and ordinance changes Wednesday night before turning to closed-session to discuss ongoing EMS-related legal matters.
The New Glarus Village Board approved a full slate of agenda items Wednesday night, including staffing appointments, long-term capital planning decisions, policy updates, and ordinance changes affecting village operations.
The board opened the meeting by unanimously approving the consent agenda, which included payment of claims, approval of meeting minutes, operator’s licenses, and a special event permit for the Tuesday Night Music Series in Village Park this summer.
The board’s actions also included approval of the village’s 2027 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) and its inclusion in the 2026 debt issuance, a move that helps shape how major infrastructure projects will be funded in the coming years.
