BELLEVILLE, Wis. — Construction on Wellville Club & Courts is moving into some of its most visible stages, with owners still targeting an opening by the end of the year for the new fitness, recreation and sports facility on Wayne Drive near Highway 69 and County Highway PB.

Owner Akaylah Jaeke said plumbing and electrical work have been progressing inside the building, while brick and siding will soon make the exterior of the fitness portion look increasingly complete. Concrete for the court side is also expected to be poured soon, weather permitting.

“We’re still on schedule to open by the end of this year,” Jaeke said. “It’s really going to be taking shape in the next few weeks.”

The precise opening date, however, will depend heavily on the court floor. Once the concrete is poured, it must be given enough time to properly dry before the wood flooring can be installed.
