The long-anticipated Canter Inn opens this weekend in downtown New Glarus, bringing a new fine dining option to 119 Fifth Ave. The restaurant is housed in a restored 1902 Queen Anne Victorian home and blends seasonal cuisine with Wisconsin and Swiss influences.

The husband-and-wife team behind the project, Executive Chef Jon Nodler and Pastry Chef Samantha Kincaid, are Midwest natives returning home after earning national acclaim for their Philadelphia restaurant, Cadence, which Food & Wine named Best New Restaurant in 2019.
