Burton, Pinnow Represent New Glarus in WFCA All-Star Game
Luke Burton and Will Pinnow represented New Glarus on the WFCA South Small School All-Star Team in Oshkosh, closing their high school football careers on one of Wisconsin’s biggest stages despite a difficult 41-0 loss to the North.
OSHKOSH, Wis. — The scoreboard did not offer the ending Luke Burton and Will Pinnow wanted, but the two New Glarus seniors still finished their high school football careers exactly where players of their caliber belonged — among some of the best in Wisconsin.
Burton and Pinnow represented the New Glarus Glarner Knights on the Wisconsin Football Coaches Association (WFCA) South Small School All-Star Team on Saturday at J.J. Keller Field at Titan Stadium on the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh campus.
The North controlled the game from the opening possession and defeated the South 41-0. It was a lopsided result, but one that should do little to diminish what the afternoon represented for Burton, Pinnow and the New Glarus football program.
