Canter Inn Prepares to Welcome Guests to Its Historic Victorian Home
A new restaurant inside a restored 1902 Queen Anne Victorian home in New Glarus aims to blend Midwestern flavors, seasonal ingredients, and a welcoming atmosphere when it opens this October.
New Glarus’ dining scene is about to experience something new and special as Canter Inn, a New American restaurant with Midwestern sensibilities, prepares to open this October at 119 5th Ave. The restaurant is set in a beautifully restored 1902 Queen Anne Victorian house with a long history as a local dining destination.
“We knew right away this was the right location,” said Sam Kincaid, one of the two new owners of the restaurant. “Canter Inn is set in a beautifully restored 1902 Queen Anne Victorian house. It has a history of being a restaurant, so when we caught wind that it was available, we knew we wanted to seize the opportunity to open our own restaurant for this community.”
