Hoesly’s Meats Awarded State Grant for Facility Upgrades
New Glarus-based Hoesly’s Meats is among 18 Wisconsin processors selected for a state infrastructure grant program aimed at helping meat processors modernize facilities, improve efficiency and support long-term growth.
Hoesly’s Meats in New Glarus will receive state funding for facility improvements through a competitive Wisconsin grant program.
The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection (DATCP) announced Monday that Hoesly’s Meats in New Glarus was selected as a recipient of a 2026 Meat Processor Infrastructure Grant. The company plans to use the funding for a freezer expansion along with compressor and evaporator upgrades.
The Meat Processor Infrastructure Grant Program was created in 2021 and helps Wisconsin meat processors modernize equipment, expand operations and improve efficiency. This year's program made $700,000 available statewide, with grants awarded to 18 processors following a competitive review process.
