Real estate activity slowed in July across the New Glarus area, according to data from the Wisconsin Department of Revenue’s Real Estate Transfer Return system.

The July report includes eight real estate transfers in the Village of New Glarus and Town of New Glarus. That compares with 14 transfers recorded in June.

Most of the July activity took place in the village. Six of the eight July transfers were in the Village of New Glarus, while two were in the Town of New Glarus.

That was also a slower month for both municipalities compared with June, when the report showed 10 transfers in the village and four in the town.

As with last month’s report, sale prices have been intentionally omitted from the accompanying chart. The goal is to provide a simple public-record snapshot of where and when properties changed hands, without turning the report into a price-by-price rundown.
