Coach Parman Steps Down as Girls Basketball Coach
New Glarus School Board approved assistant Tyler Ballweg as the next varsity girls basketball coach after Parman ended a successful six-year run.

Kevin Parman has stepped down as head coach of the New Glarus Glarner Knights varsity girls basketball program after six seasons leading one of the school’s most successful recent athletic runs.
The New Glarus School Board voted unanimously Monday night to approve Tyler Ballweg as the program’s next varsity head coach. Ballweg served last season as a volunteer varsity assistant girls basketball coach and also coached the seventh- and eighth-grade girls basketball team.
Parman coached the Glarner Knights from the 2020-21 season through the 2025-26 season, finishing with a 114-43 overall record and a 48-10 mark in conference play.
