Local Sports This Week: Sept. 28-Oct. 4

New Glarus football is 5-1 after a 45-7 win over Richland Center on Sept. 25. The Glarner Knights host Southwestern/East Dubuque at 7 p.m. Friday for Homecoming game at the Glarner Community Complex.

Sugar River boys soccer is 6-4-1 after a 3-0 win over Lake Mills on Sept. 24 and plays at Lakeside Lutheran on Tuesday and at Platteville/Lancaster on Thursday. New Glarus volleyball hosts Marshall on Tuesday after a 3-1 win at Belleville on Sept. 17. Monroe/New Glarus girls swim is at Lodi on Tuesday, and New Glarus cross country is at Platteville on Saturday.

New Glarus football vs. Southwestern/East Dubuque on Friday is the Game of the Week.
