Lux Pleads Not Guilty; Court Records Reveal New Details

MONROE, Wis. — Brett P. Lux has entered not guilty pleas to all charges stemming from a May 30 incident on the Sugar River near Albany that left another man unconscious and in need of CPR, according to Green County Circuit Court records.

Online court records show Lux entered not guilty pleas Thursday to attempted first-degree intentional homicide, strangulation and suffocation, and five felony bail jumping charges. The charges remain pending, and prosecutors continue to pursue all seven counts originally filed in the case.

The allegations stem from an incident during a tubing trip on the Sugar River southeast of Albany in which authorities allege a man was placed in a chokehold, rendered unconscious and required CPR before first responders arrived.
