New Glarus Earns Top 15 Mention in Preseason Football Rankings

The New Glarus Glarner Knights were named among Wisconsin's preseason Top 15 football teams by TCH Daily News, joining future SWAL opponent Darlington on the list while Richland Center earned "Others to Watch" recognition.

New Glarus Earns Top 15 Mention in Preseason Football Rankings

The New Glarus Glarner Knights are receiving some early recognition ahead of the 2026 football season.

TCH Daily News recently included New Glarus in its preseason Top 15 rankings for Wisconsin high school football, placing the Glarner Knights among a group of teams expected to contend this fall.

New Glarus was listed alongside programs such as Darlington, Columbus, Mayville, Lake Country Lutheran, Amherst and Saint Croix Falls. Darlington, which opens SWAL conference play against New Glarus on Sept. 11, was ranked No. 1 on the list.
