New Glarus Routs Rival Belleville Behind Colstad
Ethan Colstad struck out 10 and New Glarus piled up 12 hits Thursday as the Glarner Knights rolled past rival Belleville 14-2 in a commanding road win.
BELLEVILLE, Wis. — Ethan Colstad struck out 10 batters Thursday as the New Glarus Glarner Knights defeated their rival, the Belleville Wildcats, 14-2 in a dominant road performance.
Colstad allowed four hits and two runs over six innings while walking four, giving New Glarus control on the mound from start to finish.
The Glarner Knights gave him support right away. Landon Stelter doubled in the first inning to score two runs, and New Glarus added another run in the second when Belleville committed an error.
