The New Glarus Glarner Knights celebrated Senior Night with contributions from throughout the lineup Tuesday, sweeping the Wisconsin Heights Vanguards 3-0 at home in New Glarus. The Knights won 25-22, 25-21 and 25-9 and have now won six straight matches after going 5-0 at Saturday’s Brodhead Volleyball Invite.
It was an especially fitting night for a senior class that played a major role in the victory. Kalia Malaise, Eliana Brenkman, Kate Parman, Brynlee Schofield, Alivia Lamb and Emma Palmer all contributed as New Glarus completed the sweep.
“The offense was spread across all attackers,” New Glarus head coach Kayla Zimmerman said. “It was a great night to celebrate the seniors on the court.”
Six different Knights recorded at least three kills, while New Glarus also produced points from the service line and at the net. Schofield and Parman led the attack with seven kills apiece.
