In a packed gym far from home, the New Glarus Glarner Knights walked off the court Friday night with tired legs, heavy breaths and heads held high. The scoreboard told one story. Becky Degenhardt’s lens tells another.

There is resolve in these images. Determination. A team that never stopped competing, even when the hill felt steep. You can see it in the way they huddled, in the way they defended, in the way they leaned into each other when the game tightened in the final minutes. You can see a group that believed.
