Proposed Matterhorn Heights Park to Be Reviewed Wednesday
Village officials will review the proposed 4.1-acre park tied to the Matterhorn Heights subdivision, including trails, picnic areas and possible playground features.
The New Glarus Parks & Recreation Committee will take up discussion this week on the park portion of the proposed Matterhorn Heights subdivision, a 91-lot residential development planned for the southwest corner of the village on land the New Glarus School District once owned.
Matterhorn Heights, put forward by Monroe-based Bader Development LLC, would transform about 42 acres of mostly cropland into a new neighborhood of single-family homes with sidewalks, stormwater basins, and multiple street connections to 8th Street, 10th Avenue, Windlach Street, and Legler Valley Road.
