After nearly 20 years as one of New Glarus’ best-known gathering spots, Tofflers Pub & Grill is closing Sept. 30 as ownership prepares to transition the historic Four Corners location to a new restaurant.

Tofflers Pub & Grill Changes Hands After Nearly Two Decades

Tofflers Pub & Grill, a cornerstone of New Glarus nightlife for nearly two decades, has been sold and will close its doors on September 30th. Owners Steve Longo and Christy Hunter have run Tofflers since May 2006, transforming it into one of the village’s most recognizable gathering places.

Longo said that the decision was not made lightly and used the recent Corrine Hendrickson campaign kickoff party at his bar as his moment to make the announcement, introduce one of the new owners, and begin saying his goodbyes to the community.
