Belleville Meet Shows New Glarus Depth Across Events
The New Glarus Glarner Knights turned in another strong all-around showing Friday in Belleville, finishing second in both the boys and girls standings behind standout performances in sprints, relays, distance races, jumps, and throws.
BELLEVILLE, Wis. — The New Glarus Glarner Knights track and field teams continued their impressive spring season Friday at the Wildcat Invitational in Belleville, with both squads earning runner-up finishes in a competitive field packed with area programs.
The New Glarus boys finished second overall with 94.5 points, trailing only Lodi’s 100 points, while the girls also placed second with 82 points behind meet champion Lodi at 121.5.
The Knights showed depth throughout the meet, collecting victories in sprinting, field events, and key relay races while consistently placing athletes near the top of the leaderboard.
